Sen. Bong Go’s team visited the city of Valencia in Bukidnon on Saturday, 26 November, to personally provide assistance to its disadvantaged students.
In his video message, Go reminded the youth to study well, underscoring that education is their key for a better future.
Go also reaffirmed his commitment to continue pushing for stronger educational programs to ensure that more Filipinos have better access to quality education.
“Sa mga mag-aaral na andito ngayon, mag-aral po kayong mabuti. Yan po ang puhunan natin — edukasyon. Bilang isang magulang, masarap po sa pakiramdam na makapagtapos ng pag-aaral ang aming mga anak. Kaya mag-aral po kayo ng mabuti,” he encouraged.
Held at Barangay Lumbo covered court, Senator Go’s team provided masks, vitamins, shirts, and snacks to 227 indigent students. They likewise gave away shoes, cellular phones, and umbrellas to select individuals.
Chair of the Senate Committee on Sports, Go also provided bicycles and balls for basketball and volleyball to motivate the student-beneficiaries to engage more in sports activities and stay away from illegal vices.
On the same day, the senator’s team also provided separate assistance to flood victims.
