In the busy metropolis of Makati, a dedicated group of young professionals and students have been making a significant impact on their community for the past 25 years.
On 29th of December 2023, the Rotaract Club of Makati — a dynamic and vibrant youth organization, celebrated its 25th Charter Anniversary, marking a quarter-century of service, leadership, fellowship, and positive impact.
The celebration brought together the club’s past and present members and its ever-supportive sponsoring club, the Rotary Club of Makati through the presence of District Governor Nominee Reggie and Ann Sue Nolido, as well as past president Louie and Ann Tess Aseoche. Past District Governors Pepito Bengzon and Tony Quila also shared the celebration through their congratulatory messages.
Founding and early years
Through the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Makati, The Rotaract Club of Makati was established on 29th of December 1998.
As the first and only Rotaract Club sponsored by the prestigious Rotary Club of Makati, it was chartered first as a youth program in support of Rotary International’s efforts of providing opportunities for the youth to serve communities.
Numerous projects
Throughout its 25 years of existence, the Rotaract Club of Makati has been serving the community through numerous projects.
These projects not only addressed the immediate community needs but also laid the foundation for the club’s long-term commitment to sustainable development.
It has consistently implemented projects that align with Rotary International’s areas of focus. Through its initiatives, dedicated to disease prevention, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education, community economic development, peace building and conflict resolution, and environment protection, the club has been at the forefront of positive change not only in Makati but on different parts of the country.
