New Finance Secretary Ralph Recto is looking forward to consultations with his predecessors on fiscal strategies to achieve the goals of the Marcos administration.

Recto expressed this last Friday at the turnover ceremony at the Department of Finance from Benjamin Diokno, now a Monetary Board member at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

Meanwhile, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, in an ambush interview on Friday after attending the groundbreaking for a Super Health Center in Navotas City, congratulated Recto, who was Go’s colleague in the Senate during the 18th Congress.

Go welcomed Recto’s appointment while emphasizing the importance of inclusive economic recovery and ensuring that the poor are not left behind.

“I find reassurance in knowing that I am not alone in this journey. I also look forward to tapping the wisdom of my illustrious predecessors,” Recto said.
