Rotarians’ kindness, generosity extend to Aetas in Zambales
‘Let me thank each and every one of you for the kindness and generosity of your hearts so that we can continue on with this kind of projects.’
The big-hearted generosity of Rotarians extends to the poorest of the poor, including Indigenous Peoples like the Aetas in Zambales.
Last 16 December, Rotary Club of Manila Community Corps volunteers brought provisions for the Aeta community living in Sta. Maria, Zambales.
The activity, initiated by RC Manila Immediate past president Hermie Esguerra and endorsed by the Club’s current president, Rafael Alunan III, was a follow through of an initiative undertaken in the previous year by the RCM Community Corps Committee with Rotarian Phil Wombwell.
Rotary Club of Manila’s Community Corps Committee Chair Rami Chahwan conveyed his gratitude to all those who generously donated to the activity.
“Let me thank each and every one of you for the kindness and generosity of your hearts so that we can continue on with this kind of projects. What we give might not be a big amount for us, but for the recipients of our generosity, they mean a lot,” Chahwan said.
