Brigada Eskwela is an initiative that aims to enhance the readiness of public schools for the opening of the school year. It brings together volunteers from various organizations to help improve the facilities and provide essential resources for students and teachers.

“In our 11-year journey with Iñigan Elementary School, we’ve witnessed the transformative power of education. It’s not just about providing resources, it’s about creating an environment where young minds can thrive. Brother Philippines remains committed to this cause, and we look forward to many more years of supporting the dreams and aspirations of these students,” said Brother Philippines president Glenn Hocson.

Over the past 11 years, Brother Philippines and PBSP have been steadfast supporters of Iñigan Elementary School, aligned with their commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education. The decade of partnership efforts has provided essential school supplies and materials to students.

In 2018, Brother Philippines also installed solar panels at the school, ensuring a consistent source of electricity. In 2019, it helped upgrade the school’s water system, improving water access for students and staff.

In addition to these infrastructure enhancements, the company has actively engaged with students and faculty through creative and educational activities during its annual visits. These activities not only provided valuable learning experiences but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie.

Despite the lockdown and strict quarantine guidelines in 2020, Brother donated printers and other consumables for the school. In 2021, it donated three sets of School-in-a-Bag for the teachers’ distance learning activities — two sets from Brother and one set donated by the employees. Each package contained 10 tablets, a laptop, LTE pocket WiFi with a starter load, a memory card, USB storage, CVIF-DLP e-manual, Adarna House’s Buribooks (via web) and Oyayi USB + Teacher’s guide.

The Brother Philippines team returned to Iñigan Elementary School in 2023, resuming their tradition of supporting the school community. This year, in an event featuring fun educational games and presentations, the team brought essential school materials and supplies, ensuring the students were well-prepared for the upcoming school year.
