Mobile Legends powerhouse Bren Esports is shaking things up, hoping to come up with a strong squad for Season 11 of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines.

After its fourth-place finish in Season 10, Bren made a surprising move of letting go of its assistant coach Jian “Pauloxpert” Munsayac, who is well-known for his in-game analysis and drafting prowess.

He will now pack his bags for Jakarta to join Indonesian club Bigetron Alpha.

In a statement, the organization admitted Pauloxpert’s importance, but it has to move on to lay down the foundation of a new team.

“We all know him as the analyst who joined the team halfway through MPL Season 8 and has later transitioned to become a coach with mind-blowing draft picks that amazed everyone in Season 10,” Bren Esports said.

“He has showcased so much growth and potential in what he does best during his time with us. But for now, we part ways. We wish you all the best in the new chapter of your career. Thank you, Pauloxpert.”

With superstar players like Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Bren Esports used to wreak havoc not just in the country but in the world as it emerged as the M2 Mobile Legends world champion.

But it lost its aura of invincibility when it failed to defend its MPL crown in Season 7, leading to the rise of a new superpower in Blacklist International.

And when it seemingly could not get any worse, Bren failed to even make it to the Playoffs of Seasons 8 and 9.

Lately, Bren Esports has been showing sparks of life.

It flaunted its old championship form when it tapped a new jungler in Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson, who went on to become the Rookie of the Season in Season 10.

Despite losing in the Playoffs, Bren still exceeded expectations when it eliminated Omega Esports and gave Blacklist and reigning champion RSG PH a serious run for their money.

Aside from Pauloxpert, the organization also cut its ties with three players in Kenneth “Saxa” Federin, Vincent “JoyBoy” Guzman and Dale “Stown” Vidor.
